This camp combines watercolor painting, crafting, designing and sculpturing with new exciting art materials for you to create different art projects with your own design idea. You will learn the science behind perspective, 3D rules, and space geometry. Each week we will send a science / animal / art history / game design / plant related project guide to help generating your own design idea on your crafts project. By the end of the camp students will create a moving roulette for earth science, a animated animal, a 3D clay plant, a treasury map, .a space science 3D painting, a clay or tissue made favorite food, and a household appliance.
It will be held ONLINE via ZOOM video conference. Students will need access to a computer / tablet / phone with internet connection and zoom.us. After the lecture and demonstrations teachers regularly check and correct the digital image of a student's work, explain what works in particular cases and what does not, and why.
Detailed schedule:
8 Projects on each Saturday: 6/19 - 8/15,no class on 7/4)
Project 1
2:00pm-4:00pm. Read an given article on earth science related to four seasons or different scene of a day; create a moving roulette to reflect the changes.
Project 2
2:00pm-4:00pm. Watch PPT presentation and short video on Solar system; create a 3D painting with allylic and paper plates to describe the space ship of aliens.
Project 3
2:00pm-4:00pm. Learn the outlook of the oven or microwave oven at your home, use cardboard to mimic the outlook of their front panel; Combine colored painting on one of your favorite dish with it.
Project 4
2:00pm-4:00pm. Read the PPT presentation to know the outlook of lily; Use colorful light clay to mimic the blossom.
Project 5
2:00pm-4:00pm. This is an ice-cream day! We will use soft clay / tissue paper / watercolor paint / oil pastel to create your own favored ice-cream.
Project 6
2:00pm-4:00pm. Let's create a treasure map for your pirate's treasure! Use watercolor / markers / cardboard to tell your own treasure adventures.
Project 7
2:00pm-4:00pm. Watch a short movie on robot. Use colored marker / crayon / oil pastel and card board to design the inner structure of your own robot.
Project 8
2:00pm-4:00pm. Final project of a choice. Design your own storefront / a 3D book telling a short story / a collage landscape.
